On a clear night, I expect some of the milky way will be visible yes. It&#039;s the darkest place close to Dublin as far as I can tell. You really need to head to the west of Ireland for truly dark skies.
I also got a pretty decent view in the midlands in Westmeath a few months ago.]]></description>

Very interested in your account of Glendalough and Astrophotography 
I was thinking of going to Glendalough for 3am, moon probably won&#039;t be visible until 4 or 5
I was wondering if the Milky Way would be prominent over the Upper Lake 
Light pollution from the hotel hits the Base of the Tower. Can&#039;t deal with this.
Any comments?
